On the imitation game (Turing Test)for present-day LLMs and ‘AI’

Since the last three years the term ‘aritfical intelligence’ rose from the ashes of an AI-winter and the question resurfaced: Can we tell the difference between a human and a machine imitating a human? In this essay I will focus on the method that Turing dervived. We will cover the basics of Turing’s thought process and try to answer the following question: Does the imitation game, derived by british mathematician Alan Turing, still hold true for the modern age, especially more advanced Large-Language-Models (LLM)?
